Notes

This costume was a deep cut even in 2014, but it turned out well, even if working from the extremely scant references, none of which actually match, was... a challenge.

Components

Top

This is two parts, a black sleeveless mock-turtleneck made of knit fabric and the red top made of cotton and some unholy fake leather fabric. The buttons were made of polymer clay and the whole thing actually just snaps closed.

Skirt

It was truly impossible to tell what the black underlayer was, so I went with an a-line skirt from black cotton. The overskirt is the same fabric as the top overshirt. It is held on with a leather belt that snaps closed, and the side details tie in place.

Arm wrap/glove

This is nonsense. It's probably the first real nonsense 'glove' I made for cosplay but certainly not the last. The top detail is craft foam painted black, the arm wrap is all strips of lightweigt leather, and none of it wanted to stay in place. Granted, it doesn't look like it's staying put in the references, either.

Wig

This was a rebuild of an older wig I had for Kazuki. Eventually, you kind of just stop hearing the bells.
